Donation

Posted in Uncategorized at 10:02 pm by Administrator

Just in case any of ya’ll noticed. I cut 16 inches of hair off! I was able to donate 14 inches of hair to Locks of Love. It took me 3+ years to grow that hair out and it makes me really happy to know that it will go to a great cause and be GIVEN to a child with a disease that causes them to loose their hair!

I am blessed; in case any of you are interested you can donate your hair or money to this great cause too; here is a link: http://www.locksoflove.org/mission.html

Happy Easter

Posted in Uncategorized at 9:34 pm by Administrator

I hope that you and yours are having a blessed day together. I have had a wonderful time with my kids. With the sun shinning, house clean, husband home and nothing much to do but relax and enjoy! I just absoultly love to watch my kids play so nicely together. Yesterday we dyed the easter eggs, made home made cookies in different shapes (butterflies, birds, elephants, etc.) plus I Love Jesus spelled out. I love holidays and spending quality time with my kids; letting the house get dirty, and have fun laugh and talk.

New Additions

Posted in Uncategorized at 4:56 pm by Administrator

Ok, Ok I know, it has been a long time. I have been working hard and very busy. I thank all of you for your support and kind words. I have added a new line, the Karma Baby Sling. As my youngest has gotten older I have really seen the need to have a carrier that is fast. I went looking for the ever popular pouches. I needed to find a sling that was beautiful, functional and would not break the bank, because I truly recommend this as a second sling or a sling for the older baby (4 months plus). I still use my ring sling for those very long days out and when I know we will be away from home during nap time, because the ring sling is able to provide a custom fit that puts my son right to sleep! Ya! But I keep my new Karma Baby Sling in my back seat of the car for when I need to get in and out and he is up and wants to play. Now he has fallen asleep in the pouch but the fit will never be as good as a ring sling so I find myself needing to support his head a little more. I even love that my 2 year old thinks its cool and will sit in it (let me just tell you he is a wild little boy, so thats saying a lot!) I have to say I could not live without my new pouch, if you see me out and about on mommy/business errands you are most likly to see my baby in my favorite Ara print pouch!

Now besides the new slings I have been so busy with the three kids, you know there are just those days sometimes you wonder how you can manage it all. I was at the store the other day and it was taking forever to checkout (there was a problem with the computer) and my 2 year old is playing on the floor, my 5 year old dancing and singing and my 4 month old hysterical. And then it happens out come the tears and the milk, right throught the pads and bra and I looked a mess. At that point I was at the registar for 45 minutes and with 3 store people helping, luckly I ended up paying at a different registar and going home but at that point I am thinking WHY! I even had someone tell me, “Oh I know it is hard being a single parent”! My first reaction was you have got to be kidding me: I am married, I have a ring on my finger and in army communities it is usually easy to tell who is an army wife and who is not. Well that HAD been my experience at least. I was angry and called my husband who just made it home, and he thought the whole experince was cute! Cute! CUTE! I did NOT think it was cute at all.

Now looking back it was kinda funny but the one thing that stuck in my head was the lady, who assumed that I was single. Was it because I was alone? Was it because my kids were bored and being wild? Was it because I was crying? What makes one woman look MARRIED and the other SINGLE?!? What stereotypes are still out there about single women. All I know is that even though I am married I feel single most of the time. My husand is usually gone and when he is home it somethimes feels like he is not 100% with us; his mind constantly on his job and what he needs to be dong. I know that all of you military wives can relate, but there are others, same postion just different job titles!

Happy Holidays

Posted in Uncategorized at 2:51 am by Administrator

Hi,

I just got back from my vacation. I think it was the first we have had one in about 3 years. With my husband being in flight school and work and my daughter in school sometimes it is difficult to get away but we decided it was important to make time and get our yougest son baptised at the church I was raised in. We had a wonderful time but it is very nice to be home. I hope that all of you are having a wonderful season.

Enjoy your time with your loved ones!

The Best Diapers!

Posted in Uncategorized at 2:57 pm by Administrator

I have some great news. I have found the best diapers and was approved to be an affialate with them. So now you can check them out by clicking on the box on the left hand side that says g diapers. There web site has really neat videos that show how to use them and everthing. They are flushable diapers. The outside shell you reuse, like the outter cover that you put on a cloth diaper, but this is the cuttiest cover I have ever seen and it comes in SO many colors. Then there is a liner that snaps in and the inside that collects all of the dirtys is flushable! But if like myself you would rather not, you can just throw it away and still feel good about it because they will decompose in about 2 months (compared to the normal diapers 500 years) and there is not any chlorine or bad stuff for your babys bum.

Welcome!

I am going to post the About ME page first. Then next week something new, that way you all can get an idea of this blog page.

Hello to all,

I am currently trying my hand at this technology thing! I have truly enjoyed creating my company, Happy Little Squeaker and have involved myself in the entire process. I really like to experience many new things, so instead of hiring people to do the photography of my children and the logo and banners and All the rest I decided to do it myself. When I needed a new desk, instead of buying one (my husband was currently deployed to Iraq and I need to release some nervous energy!!) I went to my local home improvement store and built my own and it was fun and when I wanted some art for my wall instead of buying I decided to make my own (of course art does run in my family, my brother is a professional artist and my grandmother as well, so I was able to contact them for help). Anyways I love to do things for myself, although MY HUSBAND calls it being STUBBORN. I handle almost all of the aspects of the business myself and I really enjoy it! If you ever have any artistic ideas I would love to hear them.

Well besides my business life I have 3 kids (my youngest is now 2 months old) and my husband is in the Army. It is a tough life style, but I love my husband and will always support him. I truly love being at home with my kids (I know it is not for everyone, but it is what works for me) and I carry my children and nurse them (it makes me feel good to take care of them). I try to spend as much time as possible, to stop and take that time to relax AND HAVE FUN!

I really want this to be a place where we can talk about our concerns, share helpful information and where I can talk about the store and things that are going on. Please feel free to join in! I will be checking in every 2 days and posting once a week! Welcome!
